Start Learning Dutch from Scratch
Would you like to communicate more confidently in everyday life in the Netherlands, connect more easily with the people around you, and build a solid foundation in Dutch?
Kariyerdil's A0–A2 Dutch Language Course is designed for learners with no prior knowledge of Dutch or for those who wish to strengthen their basic language skills. Throughout the course, you will gradually develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing abilities while focusing on using Dutch in real-life situations.
By the end of this 20-week programme, you will be able to communicate confidently in many everyday situations in the Netherlands, express your needs, understand simple conversations, write short texts and use Dutch at an A2 level.
Course Content
A0 → A1 (Weeks 1–10)
The first part of the course focuses on essential communication skills for everyday life.
Topics include:
Introducing yourself
Family and daily routines
Communicating in cafés, restaurants and markets
Shopping
Asking for and giving directions
Making appointments
Housing and finding accommodation
Visiting the doctor and basic healthcare vocabulary
Practical grammar for everyday communication
At the end of Week 10, participants complete a written and spoken assessment to evaluate their A1 progress.
A1 → A2 (Weeks 11–20)
The second part helps learners communicate more fluently and confidently.
Topics include:
Talking about past experiences
Sharing memories and short stories
Birthdays, invitations and social events
Conversations about sports, films and daily life
Making complaints and requesting assistance
Helpdesk and customer service communication
Writing simple formal messages
Comprehensive revision and A2 preparation
Course Materials?
Throughout the program, we use Nederlands in Gang, one of the most widely used Dutch language textbooks at universities and language institutes in the Netherlands.
The course book:
focuses on real-life communication;
encourages speaking practice;
builds vocabulary systematically;
teaches grammar through meaningful communication.
Participants also receive additional learning materials, exercises and teacher-guided practice activities.

Al ruim vier jaar begeleid ik volwassenen in Nederland bij het leren van Nederlands als tweede taal. In mijn lessen staat centraal dat cursisten de taal met zelfvertrouwen kunnen gebruiken – zowel in het dagelijks leven als in hun werk.
Als een geervaarde NT2-docent, mijn doel is om cursisten te helpen zich goed voor te bereiden op examens, hun taalvaardigheid stap voor stap te verbeteren en samen hun doelen te bereiken.
In het leerproces hanteer ik een motiverende, geduldige en gestructureerde aanpak. Ik geloof dat iedere student zijn of haar eigen potentieel kan bereiken, en ik vind het een groot plezier om hen in dit traject te ondersteunen.
I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and am currently working in a related field. After moving to the Netherlands, I quickly learned Dutch in a short period of time and discovered the common challenges and support needs faced here.
